Susan Boyle! ... Who cares?

Does the whole situation with Susan Boyle piss anyone else off? Ever since she turned famous over night, I've despised any show like that. What makes her any different than any other good singer in the world? You can go to any school/church choir and find ten people that sing just as good as she does. Why does she get all of this fame, publicity, and opportunity? Is it all because of an over exaggerated crowd and judge panel? I find it all to be nonsense.
