What is this rodent???? Please help!!?

Well i was outside and i turned over an old piece of plywood and there was a nest (nothing in it no babies) and there was a mouse like creature that i captured and it is the size on a normal mouse with about an inch long tail and its ears are so folded back that you cant notice it, it is brown (and i live in tennesee if that helps) thanks
